The Mutsu apple was introduced in 1948 and is a cross between the 'Golden Delicious' and the sweet 'Indo' apple cultivars first grown in Japan. Also known by the name "Crispin." Mutsu apples are crunchy, highly aromatic, and are known for their sweet-honeyed flavor mixed with sharp, tangy, and acidic notes.

I love these apples. I used to get them all the time in upstate NY and now this the only place nearby I can find them. Crunchy, not too tart, and not too sweet. Great with peanut butter!
Tart, crunchy and flavorful the Mutsu is by far my favorite apple!
